Education

Equal access to educational opportunities from an early age can have a lifelong impact on economic opportunity and help to reduce income inequality.  Funding for public schools comes from a mix of federal, state and local money with the local portion usually paid for by property taxes.

ABOUT US >

WhoMakesChange.org was created to provide information about which decision-makers in government impact the important issues of today to empower young voters to make choices and have their voices heard. State and local elected officials have the power to enact change on many issues.  Your vote in these local elections is what will drive change.  Turnout for local elections tends to be much lower than federal elections even though local officials are often the ones who have the greatest impact on your life.
